Once you are ready to start your journey, you will have your own custom-made aligners. You will move onto a new tray every one to two weeks to gently move your teeth in the desired position. After just six months to a year, you could have the smile you’ve always wanted.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Invisalign costs are generally based on how many invisible aligners you need. 

For example, if you only have mild crowding, then you will need fewer trays and your treatment could be complete in six months or less. If you have more crowding and need aligners on the top and bottom, then treatment will naturally cost more. 

To give you an idea, the average cost of Invisalign is between £3,000 and £5,000. 

Invisalign prices also depend on your goals and what you want to get out of treatment. Your smile makeover might also include teeth whitening and some composite bonding, too.

Is Invisalign treatment cheaper than braces?

Is Invisalign covered under my insurance?  

Invisalign is not typically covered by dental insurance. This usually pays for routine check-ups and emergency treatment only. However, it is always worth checking with your insurance provider to find out exactly what your policy includes.

Can I get Invisalign on the NHS?

You can’t get Invisalign on the NHS as it is a cosmetic treatment.

Free orthodontic braces are usually available for children and teenagers with moderate and severe crowding. There is currently a high demand for braces, so there are usually long waiting times to get seen.

Access to NHS-funded treatment is not usually available for adults. It may occasionally be approved if you need braces for medical reasons. Your treatment is likely to be traditional fixed braces rather than invisible aligners.

Invisalign is generally only available from a private Invisalign dentist when your teeth have mild or moderate crowding.
